WHAT:
- On Tuesday, December 5th, Newfield Elementary School students will be joined by their UConn Stamford mentors to celebrate the culmination of the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF)’s Service-Learning Program. The students met with their mentors for 10 sessions this fall to discuss topics such as civic engagement, citizenship, community service, and leadership.At the ceremony, the students will present the holiday packages they made for the families from the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut. This ceremony will also include presentations from the Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House, Stocky Clark, and Superintendent Earl Kim.
