STAMFORD, CT – February 8, 2016 – As The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) marks its second decade serving the Stamford community, it is on its way to mentoring nearly 750 students (up from 414 last year) and reinforcing the wonders of reading by giving away more than 4,000 books to elementary school students. It’s all made possible from a variety of fundraising events including the 2016 Excellence in Education Awards, Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence in Education, taking place on Thursday, March 24th at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel (700 East Main Street, Stamford, CT) from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
