Dear Supporter,
Since July, the Stamford Public Education Foundation’s (SPEF’s) Here-to-Help network has assisted over 726 families, providing connections to fundamental resources such as childcare scholarships, housing/rental assistance, and healthcare accessibility.
One of our most recent calls came from a mom who had been struggling with permanent housing. Thankfully, she and her daughter were placed in a long-term, stable residence—but she still needed significant help to provide for her daughter. Working quickly with community partners, our Here-to-Help Coordinator connected Mom with financial assistance, a supply of clothing for her daughter, and furniture for their new home. With their basic needs more stabilized, her daughter was able to successfully focus on going to school where she could learn and thrive.
At SPEF, we believe ALL students have the right to benefit equally from a quality public education. We know YOU do, too!
DONATE TODAY. With YOUR support, SPEF will continue providing programs and resources, so that EVERY student is prepared and inspired to thrive.
In addition to our Here-to-Help family engagement network, SPEF delivers a spectrum of FREE programs that educate and empower Stamford Public School’s students and parents:
- Mentoring: providing a caring adult who offers guidance and support to middle school students
- TutorU: supporting students in grades 6 through 12 with
one-on-one tutoring services to help them excel - Books Across Stamford: distributing thousands of new books to help students build home libraries
- Parent Leadership Training: enabling parents and community members to become the next generation’s leading advocates and change agents
- Summer Start: preparing hundreds of preschoolers each summer, building their confidence and excitement for entering kindergarten
Now’s the time for YOU to support the important work SPEF is doing every day to eliminate barriers that hinder students’ success.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION BY DECEMBER 31st! Your gift enables SPEF to continue being a leading provider of educational programs in Stamford. Visit spefct.org or fill out and return the enclosed envelope.
Thank you for your support. We’re counting on you.
P.S. SPEF NEEDS YOU! Help us reach our goal of $60,000 this year. Together, we can prepare and inspire our Stamford students and families! Donate today!
