Stamford, CT – September 20th, 2019 – The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) is once again excited to present US Day 2019, Uniting Stamford for a Stronger Community. Focused on bridging the Stamford Public Schools and the community together, this year’s event offers a full day of interactive activities that build on the school system’s mission to cultivate productive habits of mind, body and heart.
The event will kick off with the pillar of body with the 7th annual MarcUS for Change 5K Walk & Run at 9:00 a.m. featuring a warm-up from Upper Deck Fitness at 8:30. The pillar of the mind will be incorporated with the Stamford Public Schools’ STEMfest, which will feature a wide variety of interactive activities focusing on science, technology, engineering, math and arts. The Mayor’s Multicultural Council International Dance Festival will once again end the day’s event with an international dance festival, signifying heart.
