This summer SPEF is participating in the Stamford Public Schools’ (SPS) free summer program: “Become an SPS Olympian Scholar.”

Based on the SPEF’s Summer Voyager Program model, students are offered a variety of Olympic-themed opportunities including mornings of academic instruction provided by SPS educators and afternoons of rotating enrichment programs. This program is offered at no cost to SPS families.

SPEF is serving as the liaison, connecting 10 community partners with SPS. It will oversee the logistics operations and offer direct communication with participating families. Partners will offer a variety of programming to include; sports, music, art, cooking, robotics, coding, and more! Our partners include:

  • Arts in Connecticut
  • Grass Roots Tennis
  • Happy Code
  • Intempo
  • Peak Performance
  • Project Music
  • SoundWaters
  • Stamford Museum and Nature Center
  • Stamford Peace Youth Foundation

We anticipate facilitating support for 1,200 Kindergarten – 8th grade students as they each “Become an SPS Olympian Scholar!”
