Haley Argueta, Director of Programming

Haley is a first-generation college graduate and Stamford native. She received a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2017.

As a Stamford native, she is invested in giving back to her community and serving the students in the Stamford Public Schools. As a previous Stamford Public Schools student, she understands the challenges that may arise when trying to navigate the school system and making postsecondary education plans.

Haley has worked for SPEF for seven years serving in a variety of roles that make her uniquely qualified for this position. She joined SPEF in 2017 as a Program Coordinator, implementing and

managing the organization’s mentoring programs. She served as a Volunteer, Program Coordinator and Manager for several years before being promoted to Director of Programming.

She now oversees the organization’s Kindergarten Readiness, College & Career Readiness, and Family Engagement initiatives amongst other leadership responsibilities which include oversite of the tutor program. Her commitment to student and family engagement makes her an integral part of the team especially when engaging students in the importance of their education.
