SPEF’s Student-Athlete Program provides academic support to student-athletes from Stamford High School and Westhill High School. Approximately 60 student-athletes from each high school are supported through Knight Life (Stamford High School) and Purple PACT (Westhill High School). These student-athletes meet with SPEF volunteers after school, either one-on-one or in small groups, to foster academic, athletic, social, and emotional growth. SPEF volunteers work together with the students to create a plan based on the student’s individual needs that enforces accountability and provides the students with the resources necessary to thrive.

COVID-19 Update:

SPEF is continuing to monitor the guidance and policies related to the COVID-19 pandemic being offered by the CDC, the State of Connecticut and the Stamford Public Schools to assess the potential of administering the Student-Athlete Program for the 2020 – 2021 school year. We will continue to update the website with more information as these policies develop in preparation for the start of the school year.
